XLRI adds 60 seats to PGDHRM
XLRI Jamshedpur has increased their Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) intake by 60, taking the total seat count to 180. Earlier this year, the B-School had increased the total number of seats of Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) to 180 from 120. According to information, the seats increase has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The changes were made accommodate the increasing demand in PGDHRM. Admission to both PGDHRM and PGDBM is conducted through XAT, which will be held on January 5, 2014. This move has been welcomed by both students’ fraternity and academicians.
The institute is also planning to shift to a new campus very soon. According to XLRI’s Chief Brand and Sustainability Officer Sunil Varughese, “The new 40 acres campus is being constructed in a prime location of Jamshedpur.”
Varughese further added that another reason of increasing the seats in HRM is encourage more girls to get an MBA degree. Currently almost 40% of the batch comprises of women.
