Learn Panchakarma Therapy from IGNOU
Ayurvedic treatments are catching up in a big way and if you ever wanted to train yourself on the popular ‘Panchakarma Therapy’, here’s your opportunity! Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has recently launched a vocational training programme on Panchakarma Therapy (Ayurvedic treatment).
This six month residential training programme has been launched by IGNOU's Centre for Traditional Knowledge Systems (CTKS). It is a skill development training programme which also includes theoretical and practical training with hospital posting. The first training session will begin from January 2013. The training will be held at the campus of Foundation for Revitalization of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT) in Bangalore, which is a government recognised research organisation with a clinical centre.
Only 20 candidates will be selected for this training programme after the personal round of interview and they have to go to Bangalore for this training.

All those candidates between the age group of 18-28 years who have completed their 10th standard and have functional knowledge of English can apply for this program. The last date for form submission is December 25, 2012.
As per the university, there will be no fees charged for tuitions, practical, clinical, study hours, library, evaluation, boarding and food for the entire training period of six months.
This program is designed for both males and females and it will enhance their livelihood opportunities. After the successful completion of the training programme, students will be awarded a 'Certificate of Participation'.
