ICAI Postpones CA May Exams 2025 in wake of India-Pakistan Escalation; New Dates Soon

ICAI CA May Exams Postponed

ICAI has announced postponement of CA Intermediate and CA Final exams between May 9 and May 14. The revised dates of remaining papers will be announced soon.

“No. 13-CA (EXAM)/2025/II: In partial modification of the Institute’s Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/2025 dated 13th January 2025, it is announced for general information that in view of the tense and security situation in the Country, the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] May 2025 from 9th May 2025 to 14th May 2025, stand postponed. The revised dates will be announced in due course. The candidates are advised to stay in touch with the website of the Institute, www.icai.or,” said the official notification.

The decision has been taken in wake of security situation in the country following India’s actions against Pakistan following Pahalgam terror attack. Security measures have been upped across the country, specifically in border states.

ICAI CA intermediate exams were scheduled on May 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13, 2025. While May 3, 5, 7 papers have been conducted, the May 9, 11 and 13 CA Inter examinations stay cancelled.

Similarly, CA Final May exams were scheduled on May 2, 4, 6 , 8, 10 and 13, 2025. The May 2, 4, 6, 8 exams have been conducted and May 10 and 13, 2025 exams stay cancelled.

CA Foundation exams are to commence from May 15, 2025. The examination is expected to be conducted as scheduled as of now.
