Arunachal Pradesh State Board Examination (APSBE) has declared the results for class 5 and 8 along with the results of home examinations of Classes 1 to 4 and Classes 6 and 7.

A total of 21,253 number of students has passed the Class 5 board exams while a total of 22,418  students have made it through in from the Class 8 exams,  informed the Tapi Gao, Chairman, APSBE.

"The students and parents can get details of the results from their respective schools through mobile communication. The report cards to the students will be issued only after the lockdown is over," Gao said.

He further added that every school should strictly adhere to the government directives and guidelines of social distancing while distributing the report card post lockdown.

The APSBE had conducted examination for class 5 and 8 from February 12 to 25 last for the students of all government and private aided and un-aided recognized schools of the state.

In 2019, the Arunachal Pradesh education department had decided that classes 5 and 8 examinations of all private-aided and un-aided recognized schools to be put under the purview of Arunachal Pradesh State Board (APSB) with effect from academic session 2019-20.

It had also decided to comply with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) assessment structure 2017-18. As per that, there will be 80 per cent board examination under APSB for classes 5 and 8 with effect from academic session 2019-20. It was directed that all the CBSE base assessment model should be followed in every Govt, schools, private-aided and un-aided recognized private schools of the state.
