The Angoff Method is used by subject matter experts to decide the probability of a student answering each question correctly in the exam. These probabilities range from 0 to 100 and are then averaged for each question. Then the averages are added to find the final cutoff or minimum passing score in CFA exams. 

A group of CFA subject experts estimate the probability of a candidate getting a particular question right. The CFA charter holders take a look at actual candidate performance, and the evaluation is done again, and they determine MPS or minimum passing score. CFA Institute uses a method known as the modified Angoff method for CFA score determination.
