The thicker grey line represents the score obtained by the student in the CFA exam 2025. If the thick grey line lies above the MPS line, it means they have passed the exam but if it lies below the MPS then it means they have failed the session.

No, CFA Institute does not issue the hard copy of the CFA scorecard of the May 2025 exam to any candidate. Students can check the CFA result on their email ID and on the official website of CFA Institute. The link to download the CFA result will only be available through the official website of CFA Institute.

The CFA Pass Rate is used to describe the percentage of candidates who appeared for the CFA exam and passed the exam. CFA Institute releases the CFA pass rate for each session. Along with the CFA results, the institute will also release the CFA pass rate for Level 2 CFA results 2025. 

The CFA scorecard 2025 is valid for one year from the date of announcement. Candidates have to register for the next level of the CFA Level within the validity period. The candidate should have a gap of six months between the current level and the next.

MPS or Minimum Passing Scores are the lowest marks a candidate can score in the CFA exam. The CFA Institute uses a rigorous method called the Angoff Method to determine the MPS for each level of the CFA exam. It is depicted through a thin grey line in the CFA exam result. 

Aspirants who appeared for the CFA 2025 exam should know that the exam is graded or checked by the CFA charterholders and the CFA Institute applies a rigorous methodology, called the Angoff Method, to determine a minimum passing score (MPS).
