JIPMAT 2026 Clashing with IIM Rohtak PI; Aspirants Seek Postponement of PI Process

NTA will conduct the JIPMAT 2026 exam on June 7. Candidates aspiring for IPM admissions at IIMs are anxious due to a clash of the JIPMAT exam date with the IIM Rohtak PI. Several candidates have also sent an email to IIM Rohtak for a change of their PI date.

JIPMAT 2026 Exam Clash with IIM Rohtak PI and CUET

Several UG-level entrance exams and selection processes have encountered a clash in the first week of June. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is scheduled to conduct the JIPMAT 2026 exam on June 7. JIPMAT exam is the mandatory entrance exam IPM admissions at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. However, IIM Rohtak, which conducts its admissions via its own entrance exam, IPMAT Rohtak, has scheduled the personal interviews of several candidates for June 7.

Since securing a seat at an IIM is highly competitive, a vast majority of aspirants register for multiple entrance exams, including JIPMAT and IPMAT Rohtak, as backup options. The clash of JIPMAT and IIM Rohtak PI may force candidates to choose one of the admission routes.

In response to the current situation, several applicants have launched email campaigns targeting the IIM Rohtak admissions office, requesting to reschedule their PI slot. Online student communities on platforms like X and Reddit are heavily criticising the administrative mismanagement.

JIPMAT 2026 Exam Clash with CUET 

Besides the clash with IIM Rohtak PI, JIPMAT is also clashing with the rescheduled CUET exam. The NTA recently revised the schedule for CUET, shifting the May 28 exam to May 31, June 6, and June 7. Because the NTA oversees both CUET and JIPMAT, students are questioning why the agency failed to coordinate its own internal calendars. A similar situation occurred in 2023 when JIPMAT and CUET were scheduled to be held on the same day, which forced a rescheduling of the CUET exam slot.

As of now, neither the NTA nor IIM Rohtak has issued an official statement regarding a delay or change in the June 7 timeline.
