The SET exam eligibility criteria 2026 state that:
- Candidates should have cleared Class 12 in any stream from a recignised board or school
- They should have scored at least 50 per cent in Class 12. SC, ST category should have scored at least 45 per cent

- A student who has completed Class 12 or equivalent from any Foreign Board should obtain an equivalent certificate from Association of Indian Universities.
