6,083 Indian Students Among 202,103 Worldwide Receive International Baccalaureate Results for May 2025

In India, 177 IB World Schools offer the DP, while 41 provide the CP, which blends academic rigor with career-focused skills for students between 16-19.

6,083 students in India and 202,103 students worldwide got their IB Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) results for May 2025 exams. This is 4.8% more students than last year.

The IB Board congratulated all students for working hard for two years. These students now join a big IB family of 2.7 million alumni in 157 countries. The global average DP score this time was 30.58 points.

Olli-Pekka Heinonen, the IB Director General, said IB graduates have knowledge and also the purpose to make the world better.

In India:

177 IB World Schools offer the DP, while 41 provide the CP, which blends academic rigor with career-focused skills for students aged 16–19. The DP, offered in 795 Asia-Pacific schools, fosters critical thinking and global perspectives, aligning with local systems while exceeding standards in countries like South Korea, Singapore, and Australia, according to 2023 curriculum studies. A 2021 study also highlighted that DP and CP students exhibit significantly higher global-mindedness than peers.

The DP is also in 795 schools in Asia-Pacific and is known for critical thinking and global views. Studies show DP and CP students are more globally minded than others.

For May 2025, students finished all exams and coursework. Grades are based on both. A detailed report will come soon.
