BSEB has set stricter exam-day guidelines for Bihar Board Intermediate exam 2026 scheduled to be held at 1,762 exam centres between February 2 and 13, 2026. Bihar Board Class 12 Exams 2026 Begins: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) began the BSEB 12th exams 2026 today, February 2, 2026, for 13,17,846 students at 1,762 exam centres, with two-level frisking in place, with Biology, Philosophy and Economics. The exams are held in pen-and-paper format in two shifts. The exams will conclude on February 13, 2026.
The board has set up four model examination centres in each district with additional examiners, female staff, security personnel, and other arrangements to ensure transparency and smooth conduct of the board exams.
Bihar Board Result 2026 - Passing Marks
Students need to score a minimum of marks to clear the 12th exams 2026, Bihar board science, arts, and commerce, as shared below:

Practical- 40% of the total marks in each subject.
BSEB 12th Exams 2026 - Exam-Day Guidelines
- Students appearing for the intermediate exams are required to reach the examination centres at least one hour before the scheduled time of commencement. Please note that the main entrance gates will be closed 30 minutes before the beginning of exam. For the morning shift starting at 9:30 am, entry begins at 8:30 am, and the gates will close at 9 am sharp. For the afternoon shift starting at 2 pm, entry begins at 1 pm, and the gates will close at 1:30 pm.
- Students must remember to carry their BSEB Class 12 admit card and a valid Photo ID card. Without these, they will not be allowed to write the exam.
- Students need to follow the guidelines as released by the Board. They are not permitted to enter the exam hall wearing shoes and socks, similar to the regulations enforced last year. However, exceptions may be made under certain weather conditions. The general footwear rule allows students to wear shoes, provided they do not have thick soles.
- In case any student attempts to enter the gate illegally after the gates are closed, this will be termed as criminal trespass. Such students will be expelled for two years, and an FIR will be lodged against them.
- Electronic gadgets like mobile phones, earphones, smartwatches, and calculators are strictly prohibited inside the hall.
