CBSE has started the process for submission of CBSE 12th List of Candidates (LOC). The last date for submission of list of candidates & fee payment is July 8. The compartment exam will be held on Jul 28.

CBSE 12th 2026 Compartment Exam Application Process Begins; Exam Dates Revised

The Central Board for Secondary Education has started the process for submission of CBSE 12th List of Candidates (LOC) from today (June 30) for both regular and private candidates. This will be done by schools. The submission of List of Candidates (LOC) is to be done through the Pariksha Sangam portal. The last date for submission of list of candidates and fee payment is July 8, 2026. The board has also revised the compartment exam dates. The supplementary exam will be held on July 28. The admit card release date will be informed separately.

The application fee for schools in India is INR 320 whereas it is INR 1100 for schools in Nepal. The application fee for schools outside India is INR 2200. The supplementary exam will be conducted based on syllabus prescribed by board.

CBSE 12th Supplementary Exam Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for CBSE Class 12 compartment is given below.

• Those who appeared for first time in Class 12 and their result is compartment
• Improvement of Performance in Main Examinations
• Improvement of Performance in 01 subject in Class 12 who passed in Main examinations 2026.
• Compartment (3rd chance) students (who appeared in class XII for 1st time in exam-2025) can appear only as Private candidate.
• Maximum of three chances are available for a student to pass an examination if placed in the compartment category in the main examinations
• Consolidated mark sheet will be issued only to the students whose result was declared compartment and who will be declared pass in Supplementary exam
• Students who appeared in CBSE 12th exam 2026 and declared as Compartment are eligible to apply in one subject
• Those students who appeared who have compartment in two subjects are eligible to apply in one of the two subjects
• Regular students who appeared in board exam and declared pass but could not clear one subject, can appear in the failed subject under the Improvement of the Performance category only in the subjects whose examinations will be conducted
• Regular students who appeared and declared Pass can appear in any one subject under the Improvement of the Performance category only in the subjects whose examinations will be conducted

Process to Apply for CBSE 12th Supplementary Exam

The process to apply for CBSE 12th supplementary exam is given below.

• Generate a list of candidates placed in the Compartment from the school login
• Select Roll No. and Subject of the student who wants to appear in the Compartment
• Finalise the selection and note down the "Application ID" generated.
• Make payment Online
• Generate a final list and keep an authenticated copy for school records along with proof of depositing fee
