CBSE 12th OSM Controversy: Students Demand 15-20 Grace Marks; Revaluation Portal Not Working

Following discrepancies in CBSE 12th on screen marking, students, parents and educators are now demanding 15-20 grace marks for those who secured below 30-40%. CBSE 12th revaluation portal which was opened on June 2 is not working properly. Students are facing issues in submitting their applications. The portal is showing verification error.

CBSE 12th Answer Sheets Not Available

CBSE Class 12 answer sheets are not uploaded on the portal for teachers to revaluate. According to sources, the answer sheets are still not uploaded on the portal for revaluation. Though the revaluation and verification portal opened, however, it is not fully functional.

What is the criteria for Grace Marks?

Grace marks in CBSE 12th are offered based on the following criteria.

  • If a student misses out by 1 mark or so on clearing the exam
  • Giving grace marks are given at the discretion of examiner
  • Grace marks can also be awarded due to a discrepancy in the question paper
  • The authorities may grant grace marks if the difficulty level of the paper is tough. Moreover, grace marks are also allotted to students if the questions are out of the syllabus
  • Extra marks are also given if the questions are out of syllabus
