The Central Board of Secondary Education transferred CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh and Secretary Himanshu Gupta. The board ordered an inquiry into the procurement of On-Screen Marking (OSM) services. An one-member committee has been constituted to inquire into matters relating to procurement of services for on-screen marking. The Committee will submit its report within a month to the Department of Personnel & Training. This move was taken after week’s scrutiny over CBSE's evaluation and post-result processes which sparked concerns among students and teachers.

CBSE Issues Notice on Formation of One-Member Committee

The Centre has constituted a one-member committee to inquire into matters related to the procurement of services for the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system by CBSE. The panel will be chaired by S Radha Chauhan, Chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission. The Committee can seek assistance from officers of other departments as required. The secretarial support will be provided by the Capacity Building Commission. It has been tasked with submitting its report within one month to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

CBSE OSM Row: Parliamentary Committee Meeting Held 

Parliamentary Standing Committee regarding CBSE On Screen marking scheme was held today. The Chairman of the Committee said that they will consider concerns raised by students regarding the CBSE On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. Sarthak Sidhant, a Class 12 student who has been raising the issue regarding revaluation, appeared before the parliamentary committee, where his issues were heard.
