The last date to apply as private candidate is October 23 without late fees. Students can apply by paying late fees from Oct 24 to 30. It is for students who will take the 2027 board exams without being in a CBSE school. Both 10th Class and 12th Class students can apply. The link is live on cbse.gov.in.
Only some students can apply as a private candidate. Students placed in the Essential Repeat category can apply. Students placed in the Compartment category can also apply. Those who want to improve their marks are allowed as well. Students should check their category first. CBSE had also given a notice about the List of Candidates (LOC). Schools fill the LOC for their own students. Private candidate form applicants do not come under it. They fill their form on their own.
