CBSE Private Candidate Application Exam Form 2027

CBSE Class 10, 12 Private Exam Form 2027: Central Board of Secondary Education will start online application process for students who wish to appear as private candidates in CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Examinations 2027. The Board issued separate notices for Class 10 and Class 12 private candidates and stated that application window will open today, October 8, 2026.

Eligible candidates can submit their forms through private candidate section on official CBSE website. The examinations for eligible private candidates will be conducted in February/March/April 2027 along with CBSE Main Examinations 2026-27.

Who Can Apply for CBSE Private Candidate Exam 2027?

For Class 10, eligible categories include students declared Essential Repeat in the 2026 examination, eligible compartment candidates, candidates declared Fail/Essential Repeat in specified previous years, and candidates who passed Class 10 in 2026 and wish to improve their performance in one or more subjects.

For Class 12, CBSE has similarly included Essential Repeat, eligible compartment candidates, candidates declared Fail/Essential Repeat in specified previous years and candidates who passed in 2025-26 and want to improve their performance.

• Recent passport-size photograph

• Previous CBSE marksheet/details

• Roll number, school number and centre number

• Disability/medical certificate, if applicable

Is Hard Copy of CBSE Private Candidate Application Form 2027 Required?

No. CBSE has clearly stated that submission of private candidate examination forms is completely online. Therefore, candidates do not have to send a hard copy of the filled application form to Board. After submitting online form and paying fee, they should download and save a copy of submitted form for their records.

CBSE Private Candidate Form 2027 Fee

For candidates in India, CBSE private candidate examination fee is INR 320 per subject per candidate for additional subjects as specified in schedule. A late fee of INR 2,000 per candidate will be charged in addition to applicable normal fee during late-fee window. Class 12 candidates also have separate practical examination fee provisions wherever applicable.
