JKBOSE Class 10 Improvement Rules Revised

JKBOSE Class 10 Improvement Exam 2026: Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education has introduced new rules regarding improvement of performance for Secondary School Examination Class 10 students. This new rules will be applicable from JKBOSE Annual Private or Bi-Annual Examination 2026 onwards.

As per new guidelines, students who have passed JKBOSE class 10 exams can improve their performance in one or more subjects including additional subjects. This opportunity will be available only once, in next immediate JKBOSE Annual or Bi-Annual exam 2026.

No Change in JKBOSE 10th Practical Marks

Students will not be allowed to improve their JK Board practical exam scores. Class 10th marks already obtained in practical subjects will be carried forward. Those who were declared not qualified and need to reappear in certain subjects can also improve their performance in other subjects they have already passed. This option is also limited to one attempt in next examination cycle.

Relief for JKBOSE 10th Re-evaluation

Students of Class 10, 11, and 12 who apply for re-evaluation and also appear in Annual (Private) or Bi-Annual exams will be allowed to keep better of the two scores. If they pass after re-evaluation, their appearance in the subsequent exam will be treated as a division improvement.

Students who appeared in the Class 10 Annual Regular Session held in October-November 2025, whether declared qualified or not qualified will be eligible to apply for performance improvement in upcoming 2026 exam cycle.
