The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) released the schedule for the NIOS 10th and 12th registration and payment of exam fee for Oct-Nov 2025 public exams for Learners of April/May 2025. Last date to pay the exam fee without fine is July 28, 2025.
The NIOS board has released a notification regarding the schedule for the NIOS 10th, 12th registration and payment of exam fee for October - November 2025 public exams for all registered learners of April/May 2025. Those who are registered learners of April/May 2025 can check the official website and register for the NIOS public exam 2025 Oct/Nov. All registered learners of April/May 2025 can pay the exam fee from July 15 to 28, 2025 without late fee.
As per the NIOS circular, the learners of Senior Secondary Course must ensure compulsory gap of two years from the Block/Session and year of passing the Secondary Examination for the purpose of obtaining passing certificate. If the learner does not have the requisite gap of two years, he/she shall register only in maximum of four subjects (including the subjects already passed) for the forthcoming October/November, 2025 Examinations. The learners may therefore carefully select the subject(s) accordingly to register for the examinations. The examination fee is to be paid only through online mode by visiting NIOS website: sdmis.nios.ac.in. The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will conduct the next public examination in October-November 2025. NIOS is expected to release the NIOS exam time table October 2025 in September 2025.

Yes, NIOS allows students who have taken admission in the Secondary level to change their subjects. Students have to pay the fees as mentioned by the NIOS. For change of subject/additional subject, students should submit their application on plain paper to the concerned Regional Centre of the NIOS through their AI. The fees for Secondary Course Rs. 720/- per subject. The subject (s) passed cannot be changed.
