The RBSE Rajasthan Board is planning to remove the 'no-detention policy' for RBSE Class 5 board exam 2026. Students who fail in the Rajasthan Board Class 5 Board Exam 2026 will be given a second chance to pass through a re-examination.
The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has announced a major change for RBSE class 5 board exam 2026. Starting from the 2026-27 academic year, RBSE will end its "no-detention" policy for Class 5 students. Rajasthan Board students who do not pass their board exams will no longer be promoted to the next grade without appearing in the re-exam. Those who fail in RBSE class 5 board exam 2026 will be given a second chance to pass through a re-test. If a student is still unable to pass the RBSE class 5 re-exam 2026, they will have to repeat the same class for another year.
RBSE Class 5 Board Exam 2026: Mandatory Re-Exams and Detention Rules
Students will not be promoted to Class 6 if they do not qualify for the exam. Students who do not meet the minimum passing criteria in the first board exams will be required to appear for a RBSE class 5 board exam 2026. If a student fails to clear this second attempt, they will be detained and required to repeat Class 5.
RBSE Class 5 Board Exam Dates
The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has announced the schedule for the RBSE Class 5 board exams dates 2026. The exam will be conducted from February 20 to March 5, 2026. Every test will be held in a single afternoon shift, running from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
