Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Ministry of Education has taken many initiatives to encourage students to learn practical skills along with their regular academic subjects. The Ministry of Education (MoE) is aiming is to prepare youngsters of India for different kinds of jobs, entrepreneurship, and future career opportunities. These initiatives include vocational education, industry partnerships, apprenticeships, skill universities, and online learning platforms.

| SWAYAM Plus Portal |
Offers more than 500 skill and reskilling courses developed with support from over 89 industry partners. |
| PMKVY 4.0 |
Focuses on demand-driven, industry-relevant skill training and on-the-job learning. |
| AI Apprenticeship Programme |
More than 75,000 apprentices have benefited under the NATS framework. |
According to the Ministry of Education, these initiatives will bridge the gap between classroom learning and job industry requirements. With these programs, the students can now gain practical experience through internships, apprenticeships, and project-based learning while continuing their regular studies.
