TGBIE has removed the five-year limit for failed students, allowing them to reappear for exams anytime. The board also revised exam fees and extended the payment deadline for the 2026 Intermediate exams.
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has announced major changes for the 2026 Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE). As per the revised guidelines, the 5-year rule has been revoked. Students can now reappear for both 1st and 2nd-year papers, regardless of how long ago they last appeared.
Along with this rule change, the board has also revised the exam TS Inter Board exam fee 2026. For 1st-year students, the fee has increased from INR 520 to INR 530, with an extra INR 100 for English practical exams. For 2nd-year TS Inter students, the new total fee is INR 630. Science and vocational students will now have to pay INR 870, which includes theory and practical exam fees.
Meanwhile, the authorities have extended the last date of fee payment of application fees. The fees of the Telangana Board exam 2026 can now be submitted till November 14.
TS Inter Time Table 2026: 2nd Year Exam Dates
TGBIE has announced the 1st year and 2nd year exam timetable at tgbie.cgg.gov.in. The authorities will conduct the Class 12 board exam from February 26 onwards. Students can check the Telangana second-year exam dates 2026 from the table below:

The first shift is between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, while the second shift is between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
