The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), Prayagraj, has released an official notice on the UP Board Class 10 and 12 Compartment & Improvement exam 2026 Application process. According to the released notification, students who wish to appear for the UP Board Class 10 Improvement and Compartment exam 2026 and the UP Board Class 12 Compartment & Improvement exam 2026 can fill the online application form for the same between June 6, 2026, and June 27, 2026 (until midnight).
UP Board 10th and 12th Compartment, Improvement Exam 2026 Eligibility
Class 10 students who have failed in one subject can apply for the Improvement examination, and students who failed in a maximum of two papers can apply to appear in the UP Board High School Compartment examination, but they can choose only one failed subject for the exam. On the other hand, Class 12 students who have failed in one subject can apply for the UPMSP Intermediate Compartment examination. Students from vocational streams can also apply.

No exam is hard to clear with good marks when the preparation is up to the mark. However, the UPMSP 10th exams are considered one of the toughest board exams in India. The standard of questions asked in the UP Board Matric exam is similar to the CBSE and ICSE board exams. Hence, the students must focus on completing their exam preparation. For better performance in the UPMSP 10th exam, the students are suggested to cover the entire UP Board 10th syllabus at least a month before the exam so that they can revise the syllabus and also practice the sample papers.
Cracking the UP Board 12th exam is similar to CBSE because UPMSP follows the CBSE syllabus. Hence, the students must leave no stone unturned when it comes to the exam preparation. For better preparation, the students need to download the official monthly division of syllabus from the official website. The initial stage of preparing for the UP 12th exam is gaining conceptual clarity on the subjects. Thereafter, they need to prepare a suitable study plan. Follow the study plan religiously so that they can complete the syllabus on time. In the end, the student should revise the syllabus and practice the model papers and the previous year’s question papers.
The board released the UPMSP 10th hall ticket 2026 in February 2026 in offline mode. The UP Board class 10 admit card 2026 is directly sent to all the registered schools. As the board released the admit card, students can obtain the same from their respective schools before appearing for the exam. Students must check the details provided on their admit card. The board do not release the UP Board class 10 admit card 2026 online on its website.
Students who want to apply for the UP Board High School Improvement or Compartment examination will be required to pay the application fee of INR 256.50, while the fee for the UP Board Intermediate Compartment examination is Rs 306. Students must pay the application fee through a treasury challan and complete the online application process.
After submitting the form online, candidates are required to download a copy of the application and send it along with the original treasury challan to the concerned regional office within three days after the last date of application. Candidates are advised to complete the UP Board 10th/12th application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
UPMSP has also informed that the examination schedule for the written and practical examinations will be announced separately at a later date.
