The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has announced two important decisions to improve school education in the state. The board has taken one decision related to the digital attendance of students, while the other will aim to make original textbooks easily available for the students at lower prices. These steps will help schools maintain better attendance records and support students with quality study material to continue their UP Board exams preparation.
UP Board Exams: Digital E-Attendance to Be Made Mandatory
The council will introduce digital e-attendance for students who are studying in the UP Board secondary schools. According to the board officials, schools will have to maintain records of students' attendance online on the official website. Earlier, teachers were mainly responsible for updating attendance records, but now schools will also ensure that student attendance is entered regularly in the digital system. It will improve the online attendance system and also help schools monitor student attendance more effectively.
All the schools in the state are required to ensure the required internet connection and other basic facilities so that attendance can be uploaded without delay.
Original Council Books to Be Available at Lower Prices
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has also announced that original prescribed textbooks will be made available for sale at discounted prices. They will be available through book fairs starting from July 15. It will help students purchase books at the lowest and most affordable prices. Selected government schools, Inter schools/colleges, and other institutions have been selected to organise these book fairs across the state.
Proper arrangements will be made so that students and parents can easily purchase the required books. The council believes this step will ensure that students receive authentic learning material and can continue their studies with the correct textbooks throughout the academic year.
