West Bengal Madhyamik Exams 2026 Begin; Check Exam-day Guidelines

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) began conducting the WB Madhyamik exams 2026 from today, February 2, 2026. The Board conducts WB Madhyamik exams 2026 from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm in pen and paper format. The last exam will be held on February 12, 2026. Read exam-day guidelines here.

WBBSE Madhyamik Exams 2026 Begin! The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) started conducting the WB Class 10 exams 2026 from today, February 2, 2026, in pen and paper format. The WBBSE board 10th exams commenced with First language subjects and will conclude on February 12, 2026, with the optional elective subjects. The timing of the exams is from 10:45 am to 2:00 pm. Students need to score at least 33 percent marks in every subject and in aggregate to clear the Class 10th exams in the state. 

State CM Mamata Bannerjee Wishes WB Madhyamik Students

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended her best wishes to students appearing for the Madhyamik exams that began today. Over 9.5 lakh students will likely appear for the Madhyamik exams this year. May everyone have a good and promising future," she said. The Kolkata Police have announced special arrangements, including a dedicated helpline number, to ensure that students reach their centres smoothly and safely.

WBBSE Madhyamik 2026 Exam-day Guidelines

• Students must wake up early and revise all the important topicsof the subject.
• Have a light breakfast, and do not forget to carry your water bottle to the exam hall
• Reach the exam centre at least half an hour before the exam begins
• Remember to carry your WB Madhyamik Hall Ticket 2026 on all exam days. No student will be allowed to write exams without it.
• Do not carry any electronic gadgets like smartwatches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, etc. to the exam centre.
