XLRI ReENVISION: XLRI PGDM(GM) batch of 2022-23 is all set to conduct a digital transformation edition of ReENVISION - The Digital First Mindset on August 21, 2022. ReENVISION is going to be a virtual event as well and the theme for the conclave is “The Digital First Mindset”.  The importance of the theme can be felt when BCG in its latest report has stressed that “Digital transformation always needs a digital mindset”, the official press note said.

Digital Transformation has progressed from a boardroom buzzword to a critical strategic priority, but the industry is still in its infancy. According to IDC, global investment in digital transformation will grow at a compound annual rate of 17.1 percent, reaching a staggering $2.3 trillion (53 percent of all ICT spending) by 2023.

Digital transformation, in its most basic form, defines how a company utilizes technology, people and processes to provide value to its customers. In doing so, businesses aim to come up with business models that will last longer and bring in the most revenue. It all comes down to technological rethinking. It is expected that digital platforms and data and digital intelligence will drive about 70 percent of new value creation happening in the digital economy over the next decade, paving the way for automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning to help businesses expand their reach, customer base and impact.

The official statement informed that the conclave will commence with the Inaugural Address by Sam Pitroda, Chairman, The Pitroda Group LLC followed by the Chief Guest address by Sindhu Gangadharan, MD, SAP Labs India. Following the same, Rohan Sachdev, Managing Partner-India Consulting, EY will deliver his speech.

The first panel will explain “How Fintech is disrupting the BFSI Industry and the Digital World”, The topic will be discussed by Varun Sridhar, CEO, Paytm Money, Arundhoti Banerjee, COO, Zaggle, Sridhar Iyer, Executive VP & Head, Mashreq Neo- Mashreq Bank, UAE and Prashanth Narayan, CTO, Zype and moderated by Professor Kusha Saha, Faculty, Information Systems Area at XLRI Jamshedpur.

Panel to discuss digital transformation through AI and ML

The second panel will speak on the topic “Leveraging Digital Transformation through AI and ML”. Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence by virtue of its ability encourage innovation, creativity and focus on empowering employees and business leaders, which are also the basics for a successful digital transformation. This will be discussed by  Nitin Sethi, Chief Digital Officer, Adani Digital Labs, Jayant Prabhu MD, Applied Intelligence, Accenture, Naveen Athresh, Head and Vice President, Product Management and Design, MatchMove India,  Sandesh Goel, MD, Eightfol.AI, Kashyap Kompella, CEO, RPA2AI Research and moderated by Dr Pratik Tarafdar, Faculty, Information Systems Area at XLRI Delhi NCR campus.

Devie Mohan, Co-Founder and CEO, Burnmark & Turya, UK, Proferssor Dr Marc K Peter, Head of Competence Centre Digital Transformation, FHNW School of Business, Switzerland, Siddharth Nambiar, Head- International Healthcare, Amazon US,  Mr. Pradeep Gulipalli, Co-Founder, Tiger Analytics will give their inspiring speeches in the conclave.
