CBSE 10th, 12th exam 2020; here’s how private candidates can apply before the last date

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the application process for the private students of class 10th and 12th. Students need to visit the official website- cbse.nic.in. Candidates who plan to appear for the board examinations as private students can fill the application in the online mode. The last date to apply for the examinations is September 30, 2019. It is to be noted that the board will accept the application forms online only. No offline forms will be entertained.
Eligibility criteria for a private candidate
- Candidates who fulfill the criteria mentioned below can apply for the CBSE class 10th, 12th board examinations as private candidates.
- Those who failed the CBSE exam 2019 held in February/March.
- Students who got ‘Compartment’ in the CBSE Main Exam 2019 and in July 2019.
- Those who cleared the CBSE Board Exam 2019 held in March / July but want to improve their scores can also re-appear for the CBSE 2020 exam.
- Pass candidates of academic session 2014 or after who wish to appear in an additional subject.
- Candidates who were declared fail in 2019.
- Candidates placed in compartment in Main exams in 2019 but did not appear in Compartment – July 2019 Examinations.
Online Registration – Points to note
- The registration forms and application fees will be accepted in the online mode only.
- No application form will be accepted after the last date.
- No application shall be accepted without fee.
- Fees will be accepted only through digital payment modes i.e. Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card (both National/ International).
- No fee in offline mode shall be accepted.
- Exam centre will be allotted as per the address filled in the online form.
- Students of the academic year 2018 or before will need to submit the details on the online application/portal.
