IIT Kanpur Launches Cybersecurity Vocational Programme for 3 Lakh Students in Hindi
C3iHub IIT Kanpur has partnered with DBRAU Agra and VIF to launch an online Hindi cybersecurity vocational programme for over 3 lakh students across more than 570 colleges.
Cybersecurity Vocational Programme: C3iHub at IIT Kanpur has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University (DBRAU), Agra and Vivekanand Incubation Foundation (VIF) to introduce large-scale vocational programme in cybersecurity. This online course aims to provide practical cyber safety and security skills to more than 3 lakh students studying in over 570 affiliated colleges.
Online vocational course to be offered in Hindi
IIT Kanpur cybersecurity vocational programme will be delivered entirely online in Hindi. This will make technical education more accessible for students from semi-urban and rural areas. The initiative is designed to help learners overcome language barriers while gaining industry-relevant cybersecurity knowledge and practical skills.
Under collaboration, C3iHub, IIT Kanpur will develop curriculum and provide academic expertise in cybersecurity research and training. Vivekanand Incubation Foundation will manage the technical and administrative infrastructure needed to deliver the course across affiliated colleges.

Cybersecurity Counselling Cell to be established
As part of initiative, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University will also establish a Cybersecurity Counselling Cell (CCC). The cell will support students by creating awareness about cybercrime, offering preventive guidance, and providing assistance to those affected by online fraud or digital security incidents. This collaboration is expected to expand vocational cybersecurity education and prepare students with essential digital skills for higher education and future careers.Β
