IIT Kharagpur, NALSAR University Collaboration

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has signed Memorandum of Understanding with NALSAR University of Law to work together in fields of legal education, research and innovation. This partnership has been signed between Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSOIPL), IIT Kharagpur and NALSAR University of Law.

This collaboration aims to combine IIT Kharagpur's expertise in technology with NALSAR University's strength in legal education. Both institutions will work together on subjects such as Intellectual Property Law, Technology Law, and Innovation Policy.

Focus on Research and Academic Activities

As part of this agreement, these two institutions will work on joint research projects, organise conferences, seminars, workshops and academic exchange programmes. The MoU was signed by Prof. Suman Chakraborty, Director of IIT Kharagpur, and Prof. (Dr.) Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.

IIT Kharagpur said this partnership reflects its commitment to promoting interdisciplinary education and research. The institute believes collaboration will support growth of India's innovation and intellectual property ecosystem by encouraging academic cooperation between technology and law institutions.
