NIT Calicut 22nd Convocation Held; Record 2,128 Graduates Receive Degrees

NIT Calicut conferred degrees on 2,128 students at its 22nd convocation. Top performers at NIT Calicut received gold medals and special awards for academic excellence.

NIT Calicut 22nd Convocation: National Institute of Technology Calicut held its 22nd convocation at institute campus, where degrees were conferred on a record 2,128 graduating students across various programmes. NIT Calicut graduating batch included 1,162 B.Tech, 575 M.Tech, 130 PhD, 102 M.Sc, 76 MBA, 65 B.Arch and 18 M.Plan students. The record number of graduates reflects its expanding academic programmes and student intake.

NIT Calicut convocation ceremony also recognised students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance across undergraduate programmes. Nandana Anand, a BTech Computer Science student, emerged as top undergraduate performer and received Er. M.L. Bapna Gold Medal along with Prof. Allesu Kanjirathinkal Memorial Award.

Gold medals were also presented to toppers of various undergraduate branches. NIT Calicut awardees included Hannah Rachel Mathew (B.Arch), Gowri Chandhana N (Biotechnology), Vemana Chandra Sekhar (Chemical Engineering), Akash Verma (Civil Engineering), Kattamuri Charukesh (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), Panthula Divith Reddy (Electronics and Communication Engineering), Mohamad Rayes (Materials Science), G. Niranjana (Mechanical Engineering), Prarabdha Chatterjee (Production Engineering) and Slomo John Joshi (Engineering Physics).

Prof. Prasad Krishna, Director of NIT Calicut, presided over NIT Calicut convocation ceremony. Gold medals and special awards were presented to students for excellence in academics, innovation, research and overall performance. With its highest-ever number of graduates and record admissions, NIT Calicut continues to focus on developing skilled professionals, researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs.
