The Centre has requested all the state governments across the country to promote online education in order to help students compensate for their study loss.
Talking on adapting the online mode of education for students, Mona Lisa Bal, Chairperson, KiiT International School, said that both Parents and Teachers are been well connected through the Whatsapp group. Teachers are making short videos on different topics and subjects which they are uploading on Whatsapp group, youtube channel, and others to keep students updated. We are also using Skype to help students with their revision, doubts, and assessment.
Along with schools, many parents have also started downloading e-content for their wards to keep them engaged amid the closure of all outside activities like swimming, parks, tuitions, and others being closed till March 31 due to coronavirus.
Many schools have also postponed their examination which was supposed to be held during this period in order to avoid any further spread of the infection.
As per the government notification, schools and other educational institutions are expected to remain closed till March 31. However, all the educational institutions have requested their teachers, students, and staff to keep checking their online portals for further updates about school reopening dates.
