CEED exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026. It is an M.Des entrance exam conducted by IIT Bombay. The exam will be from 9 Am to 12 PM. The reporting time is 7 AM. Candidates must bring CEED Admit card and photo ID proof to enter the exam hall. Candidates are advised to wear something comfortable for the exam. They must bring their own pencils.

CEED 2026 Exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026. The exam will be of 3 hours at the centres allotted. Read on to know in detail about CEED 2026 entrance exam, time, rules, guidelines, etc.

IIT Bombay is all set to conduct the CEED Entrance Exam for IIT M.Des programme. It will be conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM at the CEED Centres. Candidates can report at 7 AM. No entry will be allowed after 9 AM. Candidates must take CEED Admit card and Photo ID proof with them to the centre. Electronic gadgets, such as mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, etc., are not allowed inside the exam hall.

CEED sample interface is also available on the website. Login details are already filled in. To begin, candidates must click on the Sign In button and follow the instructions. On the sample interface, candidates can check how to answer a question, how to go to the next question, how to mark a question for reviewing later, etc. Part B questions will be displayed after 30 minutes.

What's next after the CEED Entrance Exam?

After the conduct of the CEED Entrance exam 2026, Draft Answer Key Date for Part A will be released. It will be out on January 20, 2026. The Last date for uploading comments (if any) on the draft answer key for Part-A will be January 22, 2026.

    Can I bring my own stationery to the CEED Exam 2026?

    Candidates must bring their own drawing materials such as pens, pencils, sketch pens, and colours for CEED Entrance examination. Candidates should NOT bring drawing sheets to the examination hall.

    CEED Exam centre Guidelines 2026: What you cannot carry?

    Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, calculators, analog/smart or digital watches and the like are NOT allowed in CEED examination hall. The use of any unauthorized item and gadgets will disqualify the candidature.

    CEED 2026 Exam Reporting Time

    Candidates can report at CEED 2026 examination centre from 7:00 am on Sunday, January 18, 2026, along with a printout of the Admit Card. This is required to record the biometric information (thumb impression and photograph). 

  • Q:   Who topped the CEED 2025 exam?
    A:

    Rohit Ravindra Waghmare topped the CEED topper list 2025 with 82.38 marks out of 100.

    CEED 2023 exam was topped by Khyati Rathor, who secured the AIR 1. She secured 68.85 marks in the exam, out of 100 marks. Simon George Cherian got the second position and scored 66.63 marks.

    Q:   Can I prepare for CEED without coaching?
    A:

    It is very much possible to prepare for CEED without coaching. If you prepare for the exam on your own, you need to be serious and plan the preparation smartly. After going through the syllabus, you must be able to decide the difficulty level, the time it will take to cover the syllabus, and revise. 

    Remember, there are many instances of toppers who managed to ace the CEED exam without the aid of any coaching. Further, the outcome may not depend on whether you do coaching or not, but on the quality of your preparation.

    Q:   How many sample papers do I need to solve to prepare for CEED 2026?
    A:

    Candidates should solve around 30-40 sample papers and question papers before the CEED Exam. Try to solve one sample paper or question paper daily in the last month of preparation.
