UCEED 2026 Question Paper Analysis (OUT) LIVE Updates: Overall Difficulty, Student Review, Expected Cutoff & Result

To appear in UCEED 2026 exam, candidate needs to meet the following UCEED eligibility criteria 2026.

• Criterion 1  Age limit: The candidate should be born on or after October 1, 2001. If the candidate belongs to the SC, ST, or PwD category, then they need to be born on or after October 1, 1996. This may change with the release of the notification and guidelines. 
• Criterion 2 Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of TWO times, and that too in consecutive years. The score of UCEED is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
• Criterion 3 Qualifying examination: The candidate should have passed all subjects in the 10+2 exam in 2025, or should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2026, to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2026. Students from all streams (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2024 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2026.

All candidates who will pay the Seat Acceptance Fee in rounds I and II, can withdraw till the round-II withdrawal end date for claiming the refund. Withdrawals can be done only during the prescribed withdrawal schedules. The refund will be ₹ 55,000/- (Rupees Fifty-Five Thousand only) for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates, and ₹ 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) for SC/ST/PwD candidates, after deducting the seat cancellation and processing charges of ₹ 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only).

No, this year UCEED 2026 exam was easier compared to the last year. The cut off is also expected to be high.

All the candidates who appeared in UCEED 2026 can download their Score Card from March 10, 2026 to July 31, 2026 from the official UCEED 2026 website.

Obtaining a rank in UCEED 2026 does NOT guarantee admission to the BDes programme. Hard copies of the UCEED Score Card will not be available.

If the total marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, then the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding UCEED ranks:

• A higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part-B.
• If the criterion given in (i) does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 2 of Part-A.
• If the criteria (i) and (ii) do not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 1 of Part-A.
• If there is a tie even after this, the candidates will be assigned the same rank.

Application to BDes Programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur (Participating Institutes) will begin from March 14, 2026 (Saturday), 10:00 Hrs. The application portal will be closed on April 10, 2026 (Friday), 17:30 Hrs.

All shortlisted candidates will get a UCEED rank. All shortlisted candidates are considered as qualified candidates in UCEED 2026.  Rank list will be prepared based on the total marks (Part-A marks and Part-B marks combined) in UCEED 2026.

UCEED 2026 Results will be declared on March 06, 2026. It will be available only on the website uceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates must use their user login and password to view the results.

The following is the marking scheme:

• Full Marks: + 4 If only (all) the correct option(s) is(are) chosen and NONE of the incorrect options are chosen.
• Partial Marks: + 3 If all four options are correct but ONLY three options are chosen and NONE of the incorrect options are chosen.
• Partial Marks: + 2 If three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen, both of which are correct, and NONE of the incorrect options are chosen.
• Partial Marks: + 1 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen and it is a correct option and NONE of the incorrect options are chosen.
• Zero Marks: 0 If none of the options is chosen (i.e., the question is unanswered).
• Negative Marks: -1 In all other cases.

Many students attempted 40-47 questions in UCEED Exam 2026.

There were some questions on skibidi, ghosting, delulu terms. 

GK Questions were from Google, Acer, and nestle ke typography. There was a sign of relief on the faces of students asthe  paper was not very difficult.

The expected cutoff will be high this year. Cut off marks will range from 80-100.

There were less GK questions. More questions were from Maths. The question paper had questions from all the levels.

Question paper was not very difficult, not very twisty. There were 4 GK questions. A lot of questions also involved calculation.

UCEED Part A was not very difficult. The major test was how candidates manage their time.

UCEED part A had a question on NAT on concentric semicircles. Many students found it difficult to understand. 

UCEED Exam 2026 was a bit lengthy. Time management skills were required to complete all the answers.

According to the students, UCEED exam was not very difficult. The questions were of a moderate level. Some even found the question paper easy than the previous year.

The overall difficulty level of the UCEED Exam can be said to be of moderate level. Some questions were difficult.

According to a few candidates, UCEED 2026 Question paper was difficult. However, for some, the question paper was of moderate level.

The expected cutoff for different categories are as follows.

UCEED 2026 cut-off will be available for all candidates who have appeared in the national-level design entrance exam. IIT Bombay will release the cut-off in the form of mean and standard deviations. The UCEED 2025 Part-A has a mean score of 61.50 and a standard deviation of 25.69.

The BDes admission application counselling processing fee for applicants of all categories and genders is ₹ 4,000/- (Rupees Four Thousand only). This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Only UCEED 2026 qualified students can apply for admission to the BDes programme at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur for the academic year 2026-2027. The application portal will be active from March 14, 2026 (Saturday), 10:00 Hrs, till April 10, 2026 (Friday), 17:30 Hrs.

MCQ (Multiple Choice Question): 28 questions (3 marks each for the correct answer; 0.71 negative marks for incorrect answers). Each MCQ will have four choices, out of which only one is the correct answer.

The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2026 cut-off marks for Part-A will be officially released by IIT Bombay on February 05, 2026.

After appearing for the UCEED entrance test, IIT Bombay will release Draft Answer Key for Part A on January 20, 2026. Last date for uploading comments (if any)

UCEED 2026 Entrance exam has started now. The exam is of 3 Hours. It will be over at 12 PM.

On the day of the exam, candidates are advised to carry a valid photo ID proof along with the UCEED 2026 admit card.

Aspirants could carry any of the following documents as ID proof.

• Aadhaar Card
• Voter's ID
• Passport
• Driving Licence
• School ID card 

In the case of PwD candidates availing the use of a scribe, they will not be allowed to take the help of a scribe in attempting Part B. This is because the question is aimed at evaluating their drawing skill.

Candidates are not be allowed to carry any electronic devices, like mobile phones, smart phones, watches of any type, calculators, tablets and the like), abacus, slide rule, log books, study material of any type, geometry box to the examination hall.

The Reporting time for UCEED 2026 is 7AM on Sunday, January 18, 2026, with a printout of the Admit Card and a Valid Original Photo Identity Proof. 

The UCEED 2026 exam will be of 300 marks. Candidates will have to attend both parts as both parts are compulsory.

Yes, candidates can practice UCEED exam interface.

• The interface is designed to run on a desktop browser. It may not work on tablet or other mobile devices.
• The login details are already filled in. To begin, click on the "Sign In" button and follow the instructions.
• On the sample interface, the candidate can check how to answer a question, how to go to the next question, how to mark a question for reviewing later, etc.
• To see Part-B of the sample/practice exam, the candidate must wait for 30 minutes.

There will be two questions in UCEED part B. It will be of 1 hours and there will be no negative marking.

UCEED part A will be of 200 marks.

Candidates must bring their own pencils in a transparent box/pouch. Shades of black colour are permitted. Sketch pens, color pencils, poster colors and other colouring materials are NOT permitted inside the examination hall. Candidates may bring a writing board of A4 size. 

Any request for change in the UCEED 2026 examination date and time will not be considered.

Yes, UCEED Admit card can be downloaded till January 18, 2026. Candidates can download it from the website: Candidate portal. Print out of the admit card is required to write the exam.

Candidates must carry UCEED Admit card at the centre. UCEED Hall ticket will have the following details of the candidate: Name, UCEED Registration ID, Roll Number for UCEED 2026, Date of Birth, Category, photograph, signature, examination schedule, examination centre details and instructions to candidates. 

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the hall with admit card and Photo id proof.

No, students are not allowed to leave the UCEED Exam centre early if they finish the exam. Candidates have to remain in the examination hall for the entire duration of the
examination. The exam will end at 12 PM.

The reporting time for UCEED is 7 AM. Entry inside the hall will be allowed only at 9 AM.

IIT UCEED Exam will be conducted tomorrow at 9 AM. The exam will be conducted at the UCEED-designated centres.
