UCEED Entrance exam is to be conducted tomorrow, on January 18, 2026. The exam will be from 9 AM to 12 PM. UCEED entrance exam will be of 3 hours and will have two parts: Part A and Part B. The questions paper's difficulty level for 2026 is expected to be from moderate to difficult.

IIT Bombay is all set to conduct the UCEED Entrance exam 2026 for B.Des programmes. The exam will be conducted in 27 cities. The exam will be of 3 hours with two parts. Read on to find the type of question expected, difficulty level, etc.

UCEED 2026

UCEED 2026 Entrance exam will be conducted tomorrow, on January 18, 2026. The reporting time is 7 AM. The exam will be from 9 AM to 12 PM. Candidates must bring Admit card and Photo ID proof with them to the UCEED  2026 Test centre. No electronic gadgets are allowed inside the hall. There will be a biometric examination at the centre. Candidates must bring their own pencils. Sharing will not be allowed in the exam. They can carry pencils in a transparent packet/pouch.

UCEED sample interface is also available on the website. Login details are already filled in. To begin, candidates must click on Sign In button and follow the instructions. On the sample interface, candidates can check how to answer a question, how to go to the next question, how to mark a question for reviewing later, etc. Part B questions will be displayed after 30 minutes.

UCEED 2026 Documents for Entrance Test

On the day of the exam, candidates are advised to carry a valid photo ID proof along with the UCEED 2026 admit card.

Aspirants could carry any of the following documents as ID proof.

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Voter's ID
  • Passport
  • Driving Licence

UCEED Exam Analysis 2026 (Expected)

Part A exam analysis

The difficulty level of the UCEED 2026 (Part A) question paper is expected to be as below.

  1. Numerical answer type (NAT) - Moderate but lengthy.
  2. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) - Easy
  3. Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) - Easy

Part B exam analysis

The questions are expected to be of a moderate to difficult level.

    UCEED 2026 Reporting Time

    The Reporting time for UCEED 2026 is 7AM on Sunday, January 18, 2026, with a printout of the Admit Card and a Valid Original Photo Identity Proof.

  • Q:   What are the important topics candidates need to prepare for Part B of UCEED 2026?
    A:

    The important topics for UCEED 2026 Part B are given below.

    • Drawing: Ability to draw products, people or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective and shading.
    • Design Aptitude Capability to practically and appropriately respond to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy.
    Q:   What was the difficulty level of the UCEED 2026 exam?
    A:

    UCEED 2026 question paper included a total of 59 questions. The section-wise questions asked in Part A was: NAT (14), MSQs (15), and MCQs (28). Part B included a solitary Drawing-based question. The section-wise difficulty level of UCEED 2026 is given below.

    Part B of the question paper included a sketching-based question of moderate difficulty level. The question will carry100 marks.

    Q:   What is the difficulty level of UCEED exam?
    A:

    If you consider the question paper of UCEED 2026, then the exam can be considered to be moderately difficult. For instance, of the 68 questions asked, around 18 questions fall in the moderate category, 18 in the moderate to difficult category, while the rest can be tagged easy to moderate. 

    In contrast, NIFT and NID DAT are considered to be tougher. This is because in NID DAT, more weightage is given to subjective and drawing-related questions. Consequently, the candidate needs to be very creative and have strong fundamentals to answer the questions. In NID DAT for the B. Des programme, DAT Prelims carries 40% weightage, while DAT Mains carries 60% weightage.

    UCEED 2026: Drawing Material for Exam

    Candidates must bring their own pencils in a transparent box/pouch. Shades of black colour are permitted. Sketch pens, color pencils, poster colors and other colouring materials are NOT permitted inside the examination hall. Candidates may bring a writing board of A4 size.

    Yes, UCEED Admit card can be downloaded till January 18, 2026. Candidates can download it from the website: Candidate portal. Print out of the admit card is required to write the exam.

    UCEED Admit card 2026: Document required

    Candidates must carry UCEED Admit card at the centre. UCEED Hall ticket will have the following details of the candidate: Name, UCEED Registration ID, Roll Number for UCEED 2026, Date of Birth, Category, photograph, signature, examination schedule, examination centre details and instructions to candidates. 

    Candidates will not be allowed to enter the hall with admit card and Photo id proof.

    Can a candidate leave the exam hall early?

    No, students are not allowed to leave the UCEED Exam centre early if they finish the exam. Candidates have to remain in the examination hall for the entire duration of the
    examination. The exam will end at 12 PM.
