CEED 2027 Application last Date
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will close the online registration process for the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED 2027) soon. Candidates planning to secure admission into Master of Design (MDes) and PhD programmes at top design institutes must submit their forms before CEED 2027 application last date, i.e. October 31, 2026. Eligible aspirants can get the CEED 2027 registration link online at ceed.iitb.ac.in. Students must complete their forms and submit it before the deadline in order to remain eligible for the admission process.
The CEED application form fee varies across categories. For female candidates, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and PwD applicants, the regular registration fee is INR 2,000. For all other categories, the IIT Bombay CEED registration fee is INR 4,000. However, the CEED registration last date with late fee of INR 500 is November 6, 2026.
IIT Bombay has announced the IIT Bombay CEED exam date 2027. The national-level design entrance exam will be conducted on January 17, 2027 (Sunday). The test will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM across multiple test cities in India.
In order to apply for CEED 2027, candidates must have completed a graduate degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program having a minimum duration of THREE years (after class 10+2) or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2027, or must have passed the 5-year Government Diploma in Art (G. D. Art) (after class 10) by July 2027.

Students can fill the IIT Bombay CEED forms online using below steps:
- Go to the official website at ceed.iitb.ac.in or click here
- Sign up using your email ID and mobile number.
- Log in to account and fill in name and address.
- Choose three cities as exam preference.
- Enter college details and graduation status.
- Upload photo, signature, and degree certificate.
- Pay the CEED 2027 registration fee online using UPI, card, or net banking.
Commonly asked questions
It is very much possible to prepare for CEED without coaching. If you prepare for the exam on your own, you need to be serious and plan the preparation smartly. After going through the syllabus, you must be able to decide the difficulty level, the time it will take to cover the syllabus, and revise.
Remember, there are many instances of toppers who managed to ace the CEED exam without the aid of any coaching. Further, the outcome may not depend on whether you do coaching or not, but on the quality of your preparation.
Since CEED is a general aptitude test, you can benefit greatly by practicing previous year question papers. Also, after practicing the papers, it is highly important to analyse your strong and weak areas for the exam and then work on them accordingly.
But that being said, you can’t prepare for the CEED only on the strength of solving the sample papers. You need to read the text books to learn the concepts, understand the various dynamic. Note that unless your theoretical knowledge is sound, you won’t be able to feel truly confident.
The scorecard for CEED 2027 is meant only for admission to the M.Des program offered by participating and result-sharing institutes. It cannot be used as a proof of birth. Further, the scorecard will also not be a legal document that can be used as a category or disability certificate.
