NID B.Des Seat Allotment Round 1
The National Institute of Design (NID) will close the Seat Allotment Round 1 for the B.Des programme today, May 30, 2025, at 5 PM. All the candidates who have been offered a seat in NID must complete the allotment process today by Seat Acceptance, Fee Payment, and Uploading Documents within the deadline. Candidates can complete the NID Seat Allotment Round 1 Process on the official website: admissions.nid.edu. The credentials required to log in are Email Address and Date of Birth.
If a candidate fails to confirm the seat by the given deadline, it will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.

NID DAT Mains 2026 exam for the B. Des and M.Des programme will be conducted in 17 cities. NID DAT 2026 exam will conducted on December 21, 2025 and application will close on December 01, 2025.
The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam on December 21, 2025.
The B.Des exam will be held around 10 am - 1 pm; meanwhile, the M.Des exam will be held around 10 am - 12.30 am. The candidate needs to report for the exam at 8 am. Gates' closing time is 9.30 am.
The DAT Prelims for the B.Des programme will be conducted in a paper-and-pencil/pen mode. The question paper may include both textual and visual questions. Other details like duration of the exam, marking scheme, etc., will be published in the DAT Prelims admit card.

The National Institute of Design (NID) will declare the NID DAT 2026 seat allotment for the B.Des program in June 2026.
The allotment can be checked by logging into the portal using one's email ID and date of birth.
Such candidates who have been allotted seats need to confirm their seats, pay the fee, and upload documents by the given deadline. If the fee is not paid within the given deadline, the allotment will be cancelled and allocated to the candidate next in the order of merit. The Provisional Offer of Admission (POA) will be released a few days after seat allotment.
