NID B.Des Seat Allotment Round 1
The National Institute of Design is all set to commence the Seat Allotment 2025 Round 1 for its B.Des Programme from today, May 27, 2025. The Window will open around 4 PM on the official website. Candidates who have successfully cleared all the stages of the NID Admission Process and have been offered a seat at NID 2025 are required to confirm their seat and pay the non-refundable fees, and upload the required documents on the official NID admission portal. Candidates can log in using their Email Address and Date of Birth.
The deadline to complete all formalities for Seat Allotment Round 1 is May 30, 2025, 4 PM. Failure to do so within this timeline may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

Candidates must carefully follow the instructions and ensure all steps are completed correctly to secure their admission at NID. The seat allotment process is part of NID’s centralised counselling based on the final B.Des merit list released on May 16, 2025.

The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam on December 21, 2025.
The B.Des exam will be held around 10 am - 1 pm; meanwhile, the M.Des exam will be held around 10 am - 12.30 am. The candidate needs to report for the exam at 8 am. Gates' closing time is 9.30 am.
The DAT Prelims for the B.Des programme will be conducted in a paper-and-pencil/pen mode. The question paper may include both textual and visual questions. Other details like duration of the exam, marking scheme, etc., will be published in the DAT Prelims admit card.
