The National Institute of Design (NID) has opened the application process for NID PhD Admission 2027. Candidates interested in pursuing doctoral studies in Design can now submit their applications through the official NID admissions portal. The last date to apply is October 1, 2026. The DRT (Doctoral Research Test ) test will be conducted on October 22, 2026. Candidates are required to complete the NID 2027 PhD application process online through the NID admissions portal. Applicants need to provide their academic and other required details and submit a research proposal as part of the application process. The application is considered complete only after the prescribed application fee is paid.
NID PhD Admission Process
The selection process for the NID PhD programme is conducted in multiple stages. According to NID's PhD admission information, the process includes:
- Submission and screening of the application form
- Evaluation of the research proposal
- Doctoral Research Test (DRT)
- Interview of shortlisted candidates
