Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will be inaugurating four newly constructed buildings of Kendriya Vidyalaya today; i.e. October 8, via video conferencing. The four KVs that will be inaugurated are KV Nayagarh (Odisha), KV Mahuldiha, Rairangpur (Odisha), KV Hanumangarh (Rajasthan), and KV No. 3 Faridabad (Haryana).
Minister of State for Education Sanjay Dhotre, Higher Education Secretary Amit Khare, the senior officer of Kendriya Vidyalaya, and senior officers of SR City will also be present during the video conferencing. All the four buildings of KVs have been constructed as per the ‘Green Building’ norms and facilitated with Rain Water Harvesting System to ensure maximum water conservation. Buildings are constructed barrier-free for easy access to Divyang people. Ample space for Sports and Physical Activities has been allotted for encouraging students towards fitness.
A total amount of Rs 68.60 crore has been spent for constructions of these four KVs. With the opening of these new schools around 4000 students would be benefitted in the states of Odisha, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
Apart from that, MEITY-funded Technology Business Incubator will also be inaugurated at IIIT Sri city Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, during the virtual inauguration ceremony, Union Education Minister will also address the local gatherings and dignitaries through Video Conferencing.
Union Education Minister has also requested the people across the country to join the video conferencing so that everyone can know about the full benefits of these two projects. On October 4, the Education Minister had released the Guidelines for school reopening amid the COVID-19 crisis. These SOPs can be followed by the states or the states and UTs can prepare their own SOP regarding health and safety precautions for the reopening schools based on the SOP to be issued by the Ministry of Education.
