BITS Pilani, Axis Bank Join Hands to Set Up a 100 Crore Research and Innovation Park in Hyderabad

BITS Pilani has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Axis Bank to establish a Rs. 100 crore Industry Research, Technology and Innovation Park at the BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus. The project aims to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and support advanced research in India. The upcoming innovation park will focus on areas such as deep-tech, healthcare, medical devices, life sciences and biopharmaceuticals. It is expected to help researchers, startups and industry experts work together to develop practical solutions for real-world challenges.
The initiative is designed to improve India’s lab-to-market ecosystem by helping research projects move towards commercialization and wider industry adoption. According to reports, the innovation park will be developed with support from Axis Bank’s CSR funding and will include advanced laboratories, incubation centres, collaborative workspaces and shared research infrastructure. The facility will provide support for startups, MSMEs and academic researchers.
BITS Pilani will oversee the governance and research agenda of the park, while Axis Bank will support infrastructure development and ecosystem-building activities.
