BITS Pilani placement season 2025-26 shows stable outcomes despite a slow hiring market, with over 920 students placed in the first cycle and a median salary of ₹28 lakh per annum across campuses. At Pilani campus alone, six offers crossed ₹1 crore mark, five from IMC Trading and one from Flow Traders.

BITS Pilani placement season 2025-26 shows stable outcomes despite a slow hiring market, with over 920 students placed in the first cycle.

BITS Pilani has reported stable placement outcomes in first semester of 2025-26 placement cycle. As of December 2025, more than 920 students from the Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses have secured full-time job offers even as recruitment activity remains muted across several sectors.

Strong Salary Outcomes Across Campuses

Compensation levels have remained steady, with an all-campus median salary of ₹28 lakh per annum. Pilani campus recorded a higher median of ₹30 lakh, while Goa and Hyderabad campuses showed comparable outcomes across disciplines and degree programmes, according to institute.

Around 200 Recruiters Participate; ₹1 Crore-Plus Offers Continue

Approximately 200 companies participated in placement process across campuses. Quantitative trading firms such as Graviton, Quadeye and IMC Trading offered highest packages with select roles exceeding ₹1 crore per annum.

At Pilani campus alone, six offers crossed ₹1 crore mark, five from IMC Trading and one from Flow Traders. International offers were also made by firms including MediaTek (Taiwan) and Toyoda Gosei (Japan).

Internship Stipends Touch New Highs

Internship hiring remained strong during semester. Highest international internship stipend stood at ₹22 lakh per month at Tower Research (Northmoor, UK), while highest domestic stipend reached ₹12.5 lakh per month at IMC Trading.

Tech Majors, Semiconductor Firms Drive Hiring

Global technology companies like Google, Microsoft, Walmart, Cisco and IBM recruited graduates for roles in software development, data science and cybersecurity.

Placement season also saw increased hiring from semiconductor sector, with companies including Qualcomm, Nvidia, Texas Instruments, AMD, Micron, ARM, NXP Semiconductors, Infineon Technologies and Cadence Design Systems offering roles across campuses. New recruiters included Skyworks, Cyient Semiconductors and SanDisk.

Core Engineering and Life Sciences See Steady Demand

Core engineering roles gained traction during this cycle. firms like Skyroot Aerospace, Schneider Electric and Daimler Trucks India Centre hired for electrical and embedded systems roles.

In mechanical and chemical engineering, recruiters included General Electric, Honeywell, Eaton, Volvo Eicher, Tata Advanced Systems, Sona Comstar, Bajaj Auto and Honda Two Wheelers. Infrastructure and design firms such as ARUP, WSP, Jacobs, AG&E, L&T and Enfinity Global recruited for structural and engineering roles.

The pharma and life sciences sector also participated, with companies including Lilly, Biocon Biologics, Serum Institute, Pharma ACE Analytics and Enzene Biosciences offering roles across formulation, regulatory and bioinformatics functions.

Internships Lead to Pre-Placement Offers

More than 650 students secured internships through the institute’s academic internship programme in the first semester. Around 150 pre-placement offers (PPOs) have already been extended, with more conversions expected by the end of the academic year.

Investment banking and financial services firms such as JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Franklin Templeton, Nomura and UBS converted a significant number of interns into full-time roles, particularly in risk and advisory functions.

Dubai Campus Reports 83.5% Placement Rate

Separately, BITS Pilani Dubai campus concluded its 2024-25 placement cycle with an 83.5 per cent placement rate, its best performance since 2020-21. This campus received 139 unique offers from 155 companies, with a median salary of AED 72,000.
