BITS-RMIT Launch Computer Science Programme, Students to Study in India and Australia
BITS Pilani launched new dual-degree Bachelor of Computer Science programme with RMIT University. This will allow students to study in India and Australia and earn degrees from both institutions.
Dual-Degree Programme: Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani has announced new Bachelor of Computer Science programme in collaboration with Australia's RMIT University. This dual-degree programme will begin from 2026 academic session under BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy. This will give students an opportunity to earn degrees from both institutions through an international study pathway.
This newly introduced programme follows a 2+2 study model. Students will complete first two years at BITS Pilani in India and remaining two years at RMIT University's Melbourne campus in Australia. After successfully completing course, they will receive two undergraduate degrees

Sixth Dual-Degree Programme Under BITS-RMIT Academy
This launch marks fourth intake of BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy, which was established in 2023 under National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. With addition of Computer Science course, academy now offers six dual-degree programmes.
Students enrolled in this programme will receive academic guidance and transition support before moving to Australia. As part of programme, students will also get fully funded immersion visit to Melbourne during first year, allowing them to experience RMIT's campus, interact with industry experts and understand Australia's academic environment before beginning their overseas studies.
