BITSAT 2026 Cutoff: Branch-wise Trend Analysis
Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani has released the BITSAT 2026 cutoff scores for admission to its first-degree programmes across the Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. The BITSAT cut-off represents the minimum marks for admission. The cutoff data shows that several popular programmes recorded a rise over 2025, although their 2026 scores remain below the ones in 2024.
At the Pilani campus, the B.E. Computer Science cutoff increased from 304 in 2025 to 308 in 2026. However, it remains lower than the 327 recorded in 2024 and 331 in 2023. The cutoff is therefore four marks higher than last year but 19 marks below the 2024 level. The BITSAT 2026 maximum score is 390.

BITSAT Cutoff 2026 vs 2025, 2024 and 2023: Pilani
The year-wise comparison for major BITS Pilani programmes shows a clear pattern. Cutoffs fell substantially in 2025 after reaching higher levels in 2024, followed by a partial recovery in 2026.

BITS Pilani CSE Cutoff Rises by 4 Marks
B.E. Computer Science continues to have one of the highest closing scores at the Pilani campus. Its cutoff was 331 in 2023, before falling slightly to 327 in 2024 and then to 304 in 2025. In 2026, the cutoff increased to 308. This means the 2026 score is:

Therefore, the 2026 data does not indicate a return to the 2023-24 cutoff levels for Pilani CSE. Instead, it shows a modest recovery after the sharp fall recorded in 2025.
BITSAT Cut-off 2026: ECE and EEE Also See a Similar Trend
A similar pattern can be seen in other popular electronics programmes. The Pilani B.E. Electronics & Communication cutoff increased from 285 in 2025 to 289 in 2026. However, it was 314 in 2024 and 296 in 2023. For B.E. Electrical & Electronics, the cutoff moved from 260 in 2025 to 266 in 2026. This remains below the 292 recorded in 2024 but is only six marks below the 2023 cutoff of 272. The Electronics & Instrumentation cutoff also increased significantly from 250 in 2025 to 261 in 2026, compared with 282 in 2024 and 266 in 2023.
BITSAT 2026 Cutoff Trends Across Core Engineering Programmes
At Pilani, the Chemical Engineering cutoff rose from 210 in 2025 to 226 in 2026, an increase of 16 marks. The 2026 score is also slightly higher than the 224 recorded in 2023, although it remains below the 247 cutoff of 2024.
For Civil Engineering, the cutoff increased from 206 in 2025 to 222 in 2026. The 2026 score is nine marks higher than the 2023 cutoff of 213, but 16 marks below the 2024 cutoff of 238.
Meanwhile, Mechanical Engineering moved from 235 in 2025 to 239 in 2026. This remains below the 266 recorded in 2024 and the 244 recorded in 2023.
Commonly asked questions
Through BITSAT, the students will be eligible for admissions into the three BITS campuses, which is in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. During the counselling process, the students can given their campus preference and it the cutoff is met, then they will have chances of admission.
Students will not be able to confirm their allotment if they meet the BITSAT cutoff. However, they will have higher admission chances to their choice of course and campus. Since the allotment process will consider other factors too along with cutoff, the students will know their admission status after the seats allotted are announced.
The campus-wise BITSAT cutoff will be released by the BITS Pilani authorities. The cutoff scores can be checked online at bitsadmission.com. Students are advised to check the previous years' cutoffs carefully to know the score range that is required to have higher chances of admission in their preference.
B.Pharm Sees the Sharpest Increase
Among the Pilani programmes listed in the final cutoff data, B.Pharm shows one of the largest year-on-year increases. The cutoff rose from 168 in 2025 to 200 in 2026, a difference of 32 marks. It was 165 in 2024 and 153 in 2023. Unlike most of the engineering programmes, the 2026 B.Pharm cutoff is therefore higher than the previous three years.
