Can BCom Write GATE 2027 Exam: Admission to IITs, Eligible Subjects, Qualification Details

GATE 2027 allows BCom students to appear for the exam. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering allow candidates not only from engineering and technology but also from science, arts, humanities, and commerce backgrounds. This year, IIT Madras is conducting the GATE exam 2027 for 30 subjects. 

GATE 2027 BCom Eligibility Criteria

• BCom graduates in third year, final year or who have completed degree are eligible to apply for GATE 2027. Candidates must have passed out from a recognised university. 

• There is no attempt or age limit to apply for GATE 2027 exam

GATE Exam Eligibility for BCom: Acceptable Subjects

Commerce graduates can apply for Humanities and Social Sciences (XH), Statistics (ST). If you are considering any of the above as primary paper, then the following are eligible two paper combination for GATE exam.

Can B.Com Candidates get admission to IITs and IISc through GATE

Yes, according to the official notifications candidates with B.Com, B.Sc, and B.A degree (with three year) program can apply for master’s programs available at IITs and IISc. Candidates need to fill out GATE application form 2027 as per the schedule. Also, they must meet the GATE cutoff for IITs and IISc. Qualified BCom candidates will receive GATE scholarship/stipend of INR 12,400 per month.
