COAP 2026 Round I Offer Begins: Submit Decision by May 13 at coap2026.iitr.ac.in

COAP 2026 Round I Offers Begin: The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) conducted by IIT Roorkee has started round 1 counselling process today (May 11). Candidates with valid GATE scorecard must login at the COAP 2026 portal to take decision for seat allotment. Read below for more. 

COAP 2026 Counselling for Round 1 Begins

IIT Roorkee has started the COAP 2026 counselling and seat allotment process at coap2026.iitr.ac.in for Round 1. Candidates can view their offers and make a decision. The last date to submit decision is May 13 (9:00 am). During this phase, candidates have to evaluate their options and lock in their choices. Candidates with valid GATE score of 2026, 2025, and 2024 are eligible to participate in COAP counselling. Through COAP portal, admissions are offed at IITs and IISc Bangalore. 

COAP Counselling 2026: Decision Options

During this time window, candidates have to choose one of the following thee options -

• Accept and Freeze - Where you have to accept one of the available offer, submit and opt out from other subsequent rounds. 

• Retain and Wait - Where you can hold the current offer and are also eligible for participate in further rounds for possible upgrades in subsequent rounds.

• Reject and Wait - Candidates can select this option if they do not want to accept the given offer and wish to wait and participate in further rounds.

Candidates are advised to click on submit after taking any of the above decision during GATE 2026 COAP counselling. Before taking any decision, candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully.

NOTE: If a candidate fails to take any decision by May 13, then all offers in this round will be treated as “Rejected” automatically.
