CSAB 2026 Supernumerary Counselling Registration Begins; Last Date to Apply August 24
The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has started the CSAB Supernumerary Counselling 2026 for admission to supernumerary seats in select NITs. The online registration and choice filling process has commenced, and eligible candidates can apply till August 24, 2026.

The CSAB Supernumerary Round is a dedicated counselling process for supernumerary seats at NIT Calicut, NIT Durgapur and SVNIT Surat. Admission will be offered based on candidates' JEE Main 2026 ranks. The round is specifically conducted for eligible candidates belonging to the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
Candidates interested in participating in the CSAB Supernumerary Counselling 2026 have to complete fresh registration and choice filling through the official CSAB portal. The last date to register and submit choices is August 24.
The counselling process is separate from the regular JoSAA and CSAB Special rounds. Candidates must check the eligibility conditions and business rules before applying, as the registration, choice filling, seat allotment and fee payment procedures for the Supernumerary Round are different.
CSAB Supernumerary Counselling 2026 Dates
