CSAB Special Round 2026 Choice Filling Deadline Tomorrow; Round 1 Allotment on August 6
The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) conducts a special CSAB counselling to fill the unfilled seats of the NIT+ System after the last JoSAA round.
CSAB will close the CSAB special round choice filling on August 5, tomorrow. The choice filling facility can be accessed only by the registered candidates on the official website, csab.nic.in.
Through the CSAB choice filling and locking, candidates can fill out any number of preferences for admission. The CSAB seat allotment is done as per the choice filling, the candidateβs merit and the availability of seats.
CSAB registrations for the special round have been closed on August 3.
How to Fill Choices in CSAB 2026 Special Round
For those who are participating in the CSAB Special Rounds, the choice-filling process is as follows:Β
- Step 1 is to fill the preferences:Β All registered candidates have to fill in choices of courses and colleges in the CSAB choice filling process in order of preference. JoSAA choice list will not be applicable here. Fill fresh choices.
- Step 2 is to save all the choices filled: Keep saving the choices after adding a few choices to ensure that the data is saved.
- Step 3 is to lock the choices: Lock the choices only after you are sure of the choice preference list. After locking the choices, candidates cannot edit the choice list. Locking means final submission of the list.
If a candidate does not lock the choices before the deadline, their choices will be auto-locked, and the auto-locked list will be used for seat allotment.
After CSAB Special Counselling 2026 Choice Filling
Once candidates have filled in their choices, the seat allotment result for round 1 will be out on August 6. The allocation of seats will be determined solely based on the candidates' JEE Main ranks and their categories, while considering the number of seats available. Candidates can view the seat allotment results by logging into the official CSAB website - csab.nic.in.
