DRDO Invites Applications for 30 Paid Internships

DRDO Internship 2026: Combat Aircraft Systems Development and Integration Centre (CASDIC), laboratory under Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has invited applications for its DRDO Internship 2026 programme. Students pursuing B.E./B.Tech and M.Sc programmes can apply for six-month paid DRDO internship 2026.

The last date to submit DRDO internship application form is October 11, 2026. A total of 30 internship positions are available across Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science and Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering disciplines.

How to Apply for DRDO Internship 2026

Interested and eligible candidates are required to complete the prescribed DRDO internship application form and submit their details as instructed in the official notification. They should fill in the application form with accurate academic and personal information and send the completed application to hrd.casdic@gov.in.

DRDO Internship 2026: Eligibility Criteria

DRDO internship is open to final-year B.E./B.Tech students and second-year M.Sc students. Candidates must meet the prescribed academic and institutional eligibility criteria. For B.E./B.Tech students, a minimum CGPA of 7.5 in all previous semesters is required. M.Sc applicants should have secured at least 70% marks in the first year of the programme.

Candidates must be pursuing a full-time course from an AICTE- or UGC-approved college or university. Applicants should also be below 25 years of age.

Duration and Stipend for DRDO Internship 2026

All selected candidates will undergo the internship for a period of six months. Interns will receive a stipend of INR 5,000 per month, subject to completing at least 15 working days at the laboratory in each month. The stipend will be released in two installments. The first instalment will be paid after successful completion of three months and second instalment will be released after completion of the six-month internship.

DRDO Internship 2026: Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic performance. CASDIC may also conduct an online interview or interaction, if required.  Final selection will be based on the candidates' eligibility, academic record and performance in the selection interaction, wherever applicable.
