GATE 2027 Application Form Date Revised Live: Check Registration date, Fees & Steps to Apply

The GATE 2027 score remains valid for three years. Candidates can use the scorecard for MTech, Research, and PhD admissions. However, many PSUs accept GATE scorecard of current year only.

IIT Madras is the organizing institute for the GATE 2027 examination. The authority have launched the official website along with GATE 2027 registration and exam dates. 

Candidates can select up to 6 test cities from same GATE zone while filling the application form. 

No, the GATE 2027 application date has been revised now. IIT Madras will open the GOAPS portal for GATE registration 2027 on August 27. The official website to apply is gate2027.iitm.ac.in.

The GATE photograph specifications can be checked below:

• Must be scanned properly. The photo must be recent (not more than 3 months old)
• The dimension of photograph must be (3.5 cm width X 4.5 cm height). Candidate’s face must cover 30 to 35% of the photograph
• The photo background must be clear (white background)
• The face in photograph must not be covered with any objects, such as cap, spectacles, sunglasses, etc
• Photograph must be in JPEG/JPG format with minimum aspect ratio of 0.66 and maximum aspect ratio of 0.89
• The maximum pixel resolution is 530 X 690 pixels and minimum resolution is 200 X 260 pixels
• The maximum file size is 600 KB

The IIT madras have not revised the GATE 2027 exam date. The exam will be conducted consececutively for three weekends. The GATE 2027 exam date is scheduled for Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027, in two shifts.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is a  reputable national entrance exam conducted to offer admission to postgraduate and research programs, such as MTech, MSc, PhD at various IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, etc. Not only this, candidates qualifying GATE can also apply for Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs) jobs.
