GATE 2027 Registration Start Date: IIT Madras will begin GATE exam form filling process starting from August 14, 2026. Candidates can apply for GATE exam 2027 at GOAPS available at gate2027.iitm.ac.in. GATE 2027 Registration will start on August 14, 2026 at gate2027.iitm.ac.in. Candidates who want to apply for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering must complete DigiLocker signup and update their details before GATE application form 2027 opens. The last date to submit GATE exam form is September 21, 2026 without late fee, and September 30, 2026 with late fees. Candidates must note that DigiLocker sign-up for registration is mandatory. 

GATE 2027 Exam Dates

IIT Madras will conduct GATE exam 2027 for six days (three consecutive weeks). The GATE 2027 exam dates are Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027. The computer-based test will be held in two shifts for 30 subject papers. 

How to fill GATE Application Form at GOAPS?

Candidates who want to apply for GATE 2027 exam, must ensure that their name, email, mobile number, address, ID number is updated in DigiLocker account, as the information will be directly fetched during GATE 2027 registration process. 

• When GATE exam form is released, candidates must create their account at GOAPS and register to generate enrolment ID and password. 

• After logging, provide required details and live facial information. 

• Then upload documents (scanned valid ID, photo, and signature) as per specifications

• Pay registration fee and submit form

• Download confirmation page

• Go to official website: https://www.digilocker.gov.in/

• Now, click on “Login/Register” link on top corner

• Enter mobile number and continue

• Now, enter Aadhar Number and proceed for next step

• Enter 6-digit security pin and get it verified

• Once the verification is complete, your Aadhar card will be displayed on screen

GATE 2027 Eligibility Criteria

 Students who are in 3rd or final year or have completed their bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline can apply for the exam within deadline. Candidates with B.Sc./B.A./B.Com. degrees can also apply for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The following degrees that are eligible for GATE exam 2027:
