GATE 2027 Update: IIT Madras advises to Link DigiLocker Account before Registration, Mandatory Steps

GATE 2027 update: IIT Madras will release GATE application form 2027 on August 14 at gate2027.iitm.ac.in. With official notification and GATE 2027 exam date out, IIT Madras now confirms that the GATE registration 2027 through DigiLocker is mandatory. Read details below.

GATE 2027 Exam Update: IIT Madras have recently made an update regarding GATE 2027 registration. According to the latest GATE 2027 update, candidates must link their Digilocker account before registration. The application form will be released on August 14. Before that, candidates must create or update their Digilocker account. 

GATE 2027 Update: Data to be Fetched from Digilocker for Registration

Before the application release, candidates must enter the following details from digilocker:

• Name

• Date of Birth

• Mobile Number

• Email ID

• Profile picture

• Address and 

• Verified ID card number

Submit and update. It is advised to keep all information updated for a smooth registration process. 

Documents Required for GATE Registration 2027

Candidates need to upload following documents while filling GATE application form 2027:

• Recent scanned photo (not older than 3 months)

• Scanned signature

• Scanned copy of valid ID proof

• Category/PwD/Dyslexic certificate in PDF (if applicable)

 The GATE 2027 registration last date with no late fee is September 21, 2026, and with no late fee is September 30. During the registration, candidates will also have to provide their facial details for verification purposes. The GATE 2027 exam will be held on Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027 in two shifts.
