GATE application form 2027: IIT Madras have made GATE 2027 registration through DigiLocker mandatory. Candidates are advised to update their name, mobile number, date of birth, email ID, verified ID number, etc. For students who do not have an account in DigiLocker, can check the steps below on how to register and keep it updated before GATE application form 2027 at gate2027.iitm.ac.in opens on August 27, 2026.

Candidates must have the following details ready before GATE 2027 DigiLocker sign-up:

• Active mobile number

• Email ID 

• Aadhar ID card number

How to Signup up DigiLocker for GATE Registration 2027

Candidates can follow the step-by-step guide on how to create an account on DigiLocker for GATE 2027 registration below:

• Go to the official website of DigiLocker - digilocker.gov.in

• Click on “Sign-up or Login” tab

• To create an account, enter mobile number

• Enter Aadhar ID number and click continue

• Set a 6-digit security pin and click on “Verify”

• Once verified, candidates can check Aadhar card

• Fill required details and submit

IIT Madras GATE 2027 will fetch above details for registration. Candidates must ensure all the information in DigiLocker is updated. GATE application form 2027 will start on the revised date, August 27, and the last date to submit form is September 27 without late fees and October 5 with late fees. Only registered candidates will be able to appear for the exam on the prescribed GATE 2027 exam dates: Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027.
