HPCET 2024 seat allotment process commences; offline counselling held for eligible candidates
HPCET 2024 seat allotment process has commenced. All candidates have to report to the HPCET 2024 counselling venue as per their respective allotted date. Read to know the HPCET 2024 counselling process and more details.
Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) has commenced the HPCET 2024 seat allotment process. All eligible and registered candidates will have to report to the HPCET 2024 counselling venue i.e., Himachal Pradesh Technical University campus at Daruhi, Hamirpur for seat allotment. The HPCET 2024 seat allotment dates are different as per the candidate’s mode of admission i.e., through JEE Main scores, HPCET scores or 12th standard qualifying exam scores. Candidates with a valid JEE Main score will be allotted first.
HPCET 2024 Counselling Process
All candidates will have to be present at the HPCET 2024 counselling venue on their prescribed date and time. After reporting to the venue, the candidates will have to submit the required documents for verification. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate’s merit score, preferences, category and seat availability. All selected candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date by reporting to their allotted institute.
The following documents have to be presented during the HPCET 2024 counselling for verification:
- HPCET 2024/JEE Main 2024/12th standard scorecard
- Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
- 10th standard pass certificate (for age proof)
- 10th standard mark sheet or certificate
- 12th standard mark sheet and passing certificate
- School leaving certificate

During the HPCET counselling session, the candidates will have to pay the required fee. However, HPCET qualified do not need to pay the counselling fee. Only those candidates who do not have a valid HPCET 2024 score will be required to make the payment to participate in the counselling and admission process. General/Economically Weaker Section/OBC category will have to pay INR 1,600 and reserved category i.e, SC/ST/BPL/IRDP category candidates will have to pay INR 800 online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card.
HPCET 2026 counselling dates will be announced soon. All candidates will have to participate in the HPCET counselling process for allotment into the BTech courses offered by the participating institutes. The selection of courses had to be done in the order of preference. The allotment will be done as per the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability.
